V2.20 ----- - Now completely available in german language. - Improved display of matches: Multiple matches within one line are displayed correctly now. - Combined 'Find...' and 'Mark expression...' dialog instead of two separate ones. - 'New search...' dialog: The options -e and -v have been moved to the extended options. The option -i (ignore case) has changed to the -s (case sensitive) option (works vice versa now of course). - 'Extended options...' dialog: Looks much better now, doesn't it? The option -w is located in the main dialog now and the option -g is no longer available. - 'Settings...' dialog: New switch 'Confirm on exit' for all those who accidentally quit GREPIT by hitting Esc or Undo too often. Note: This update basically contains improvements of the grep kernel and adjustments to the windows versions (16 and 32 bit) which are in beta state at the moment. Altmannstein, 08/26/96 V2.11 ----- - A changed 'New...' dialog to stay (or become) compatible to the currently developed DOS, Windows and OS/2 versions: Now the first edit field contains paths and the second edit field, file specifications. More than one path/file specification can be entered (or chosen via file selector) by separating them with a semicolon. If you want to keep the output file (the name for it is now set by GREPIT automatically), you must use the 'Save as...' function after the grep run. Also see help function for more information. - On some systems the output lines were printed on the desktop, not into the output window. Should not appear any more. V2.10 ----- - Binary files can be displayed now. GREPIT tries to determine the file type automatically. You can force the three modes (text, binary and hexadecimal), though. Use [Text file], [Binary file] and [Hex display] in the [Edit] menu. - The new entry [Clear] in the [File] menu closes the currently displayed file to free the allocated memory. This might be useful in multitasking environments. - New color icon for use with desktops. See GREPICON.RSC. V2.01c ------ - Ascii files with more than 256 characters per line are correctly displayed now. - Cosmetic correction of an alert box. V2.01b ------ - Two minor bugs removed. V2.01a ------ - Bug in output with "Upper/Lower Context" terminated. - Bug in memory calculation terminated (occured only on machines with more than ~10 MB RAM). V2.01 ----- - Optimized and automated memory allocation. The maximum line numbers value in the 'Settings' dialog is no longer necessary. Two bugs removed. Lower memory consumption.
